Formally an employee to the Noumenon, working in their department dedicated to conservation and restoration. Now, as an independent contractor, Nailah's specialization is in the acquisition and preservation of knowledge, often working with recently acquired ancient tomes and texts discovered during archeological digs. She also assists a Sharlayan outreach program by the name of Eumeryia in their expeditions to assist communities throughout Eorzea and the greater Star.

Nailah carries herself with noticeable confidence most days, despite the scars she bears. Most noticeably, there is a scar from the top of her right brow till under her eye from a bladed edge. When her back is exposed, there is a notable electrical burn scar along her lower back, and burn scars along her shoulders (which are mostly covered by her new tattoos). Her hands are weathered and worn, calloused and slightly burned from training.Recently, Nailah had aether-ink tattoos added to her skin. Spanning her arms, across her collarbones, and down her back, these are based on Arcanima's principles and intended to assist with aetherflow.Beyond that, Nailah loves her jewelry. Earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings for her fingers, ankles, and even her tail. When she is not working, it is very easily to identify her arrival based upon the jingling of all her jewelry.
About
Nailah's history is muddled at best, often difficult for her discern due to her spotty memory from her early childhood. What she is able to share, however, is upfront and honest: most of her formative years were spent as a Garlean conscript in the snowy tundras of Ilsebard. She worked under a Praefectus of the VIth Legion with a rather intense fascination for aetherology and understanding how it works from a Garlean perspective. It allowed her a strange position of understanding aetherflow from a culmination of sources acquired by her mentor from various regions.Eventually, however, Nailah parted ways and escaped the Garlean occupation. She spent years in a variety of circumstances, some less reputable than others, until she eventually landed an opportunity assisting with managing a free company stationed out of Ul'dah. It was there that she met her eventual husband, E'lias Windjammer, and the two mutually decided to try and pursue their passions rather than fulfilling roles for the sake of coin.Their pursuits for knowledge eventually landed them in Sharlayan, and connected them to an old, eccentric astrologian by the name of Lady Alexandara Bienvenue. It was due to her charity that they received a sponsorship and, eventually, citizenship within Sharlayan.

Hello there!I'm Sol, and Nailah's my main rp character. I do appreciate the interest in rping with Nailah, but here is some info to keep in mind about rping with me:- I operate on US EST (GMT) when it comes to rp hours. I'm generally available most evenings from 7pm to 11pm on Crystal-Mateus, though that can vary on a week by week basis.
- Walk up RP is not really my preference. If you're interested in rping with me, let me know ahead of time and I can set time aside for you. Or, if there's a venue you'd like to meet up at, I'm more than happy to try out new venues.
- While I can handle darker themes, I'm going to generally say no to explicit abuse and gore in my rp. RP is a relaxing hobby for me, and I'd prefer to have more light-hearted, slice of life moments in my storytelling these days.
- On a similar note, my character is married and is not interested in being propositioned by anyone. So don't bother trying, it's not going to go anywhere.
RP Hooks
-Obviously, Nailah's very passionate about books. Talking to her about any sort of recent research or intellectual pursuits will often prompt her to suggest certain sections within the Noumenon. History and archeology are more specific topics she has a vested interest in.
-In a similar vein, Nailah loves to travel. Bringing up places in the world will incentivize her to either speak to her own traveling experiences or admit her interest in actually traveling there (if she has not visited the location before).
-With a variety of scars covering her body, it's clear that Nailah's had a turbulent history written all over her. Anyone interested in bringing those up might learn a thing or two about her past prior to her new lifestyle.
-Nailah is a newcomer to Sharlayan, one who has directly benefited by the opening of the borders once more. Bringing up tips and tricks about living in Sharlayan will often be appreciated by her (shaming her for the decision, less so).
-As a self-proclaimed rune mage, Nailah utilizes runic techniques studied from a mixture of arcanist practices and rune smithing. While her rune work is usually hidden between pages, she has a keen eye for discussions related to arcanima and glyph work.
-Recently, Nailah has been found training around the outskirts of Tulliyolal. One might find her being tutored in Pictomancy by one Mari Aguirre, or practicing with a new set of blades.
-Nailah is a mother of two. She will sometimes bring her daughter and/or newborn son with her on outings around Sharlayan, so discussing little Laleh or Arjantin will absolutely lead to further conversation.
